How it works

• Most of the files on this web site are HTML files, created with the Composer window of Netscape Navigator.
• No CGI scripts or forms are used; all pages are static.

File formats

• Items submitted to the Area Webmaster may be unformatted email, plain text, Microsoft Word (.doc), Rich Text Format (.rtf), Excel (.xls) or Publisher (.pub), Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) and other formats.
• Flyers are scanned and output as Adobe Acrobat files.

Meeting List pages

• The meeting lists are maintained in a Microsoft Access database at the Area 43 Service Office.
• To generate the online meeting lists, the Area Webmaster:
• • exports the Microsoft Access files to a text file, then
  • runs a Perl script that generates several hundred HTML formatted web pages (by town and day of week), and then
  • FTPs the generated files to the MV.COM server.
